Event Time Changes time and Place

The 12th Tourist Indonesia Mart and Expo (Time) moves to Makassar in east Indonesia, with a new data just after the PATA Travel Mart. The Indonesia Tourist Promotion Board (ITPB) has announced this year's 12th annual Indonesia tourisum Indonesia. Mart and Expo 2006 (Time 2006) will be held on 18 to 21 September, in Makassar, South Sulawesi, formerly know as Ujung Pandang, after a two year run in Yogyakarta.

Though this is Times 12th year, it is the first time the event will take place in eastern Indonesia. According to the chairperson of the Time 2006 steering committee, Meity Robot, the city is the gateway to east Indonesia in Asia, with 15 domestic airlines offering service to Makassar.Attendance figures tumbled as last year's Time, with only 84 buyers from 23 countries and 126 sellers from 20 provinces taking part. In 2005, Time attracted 102 buyers from 28 countries and 147 sellers from 20 Indonesia provinces.

Chairperson Robot said, "We are optimistic that Makassar will be able to entice more buyers and sellers to Time this year, since the city is the gateway to east Indonesia, witch has many tourist attractions, Moreover, this year Time is being held back to back with PATA Travel mart to achieve greater numbers than last year's Time."

Time was first held in 1994. Delegates include oversea held in 1994. Delegates include overseas buyers and sellers from Indonesia travel and tourism sectors, such as hotels, resort, spa, airlines, National Tourism Offices (NTO), tour operators, travel agencies, cruise liner operators and more.
